VDM-1800 Near Eye Display (VR/AR) Measurement Equipment

VDM-1800 represents the first optical testing equipment for virtual displays (VR/AR) in China. This equipment integrates high-end components, including a spatial angular motion mechanism, an optical imaging detector, a spectral radiance measurement instrument, and a high-speed photometry measurement instrument. It simulates the precise alignment of the human eye's pupil with the virtual display device's eye box, as well as the spatial perception of virtual images by the retina and the adjustment of focus for virtual images at various distances by the eyes.

Dark-room Conditions

The laboratory background brightness contribution for measuring spatial reflection must be less than 1/20 of the minimum brightness output of the device under test (DUT). If this standard is not met, background brightness deduction must be performed and recorded in the report.

Pre-work

The measurement should be conducted under standard conditions after sufficient preheating, with the equipment preheated for 15 minutes upon startup. The test sample should be tested after the lighting source and DUT have been fully preheated, as the brightness output of the DUT takes time to stabilize. Test the sample in a preheated stable state. During the measurement period, all measurement conditions should be kept constant.
