IEC 62906-5-3 Laser Display Devices Part 5-3: Measuring Methods of Image Quality for Laser Projection Display

IEC 62906-5-3 is an international standard focused on measuring methods for image quality of laser projection displays, developed and published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

Laser projection display technology has been widely used in fields such as film and television, education, and commercial display due to its advantages of high brightness, high color saturation, long lifespan, and good color reproduction ability. However, image quality is one of the important indicators for measuring the performance of laser projection display devices, so accurate testing is crucial. The IEC 62906-5-3 standard was born for this purpose, which specifies in detail how to measure the image quality parameters of laser projection display devices, including but not limited to resolution, contrast, color accuracy, color gamut coverage, grayscale performance, and dynamic range.
